Gareth Fearn

JMW Turner – Rain, Steam and Speed

Biography

I am a writer and researcher based in Manchester, UK. I write about politics, energy, environmental and urban planning and the state. I focus on the UK and largely on England, relating what is happening here to more global changes. I am currently working on a project on the UK electricity system and the energy crisis, as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Manchester.

I have published academic journal articles as well as articles for publications such as Tribune, London Review of Books and New Socialist. I will happily consider commissions on the areas which my research and experience cover.
